01 / The terrain
A few rules. Infinite landscapes.
Layers of seeded value noise form an imaginary height field. Each contour follows a constant height, found by intersecting small triangles in the field. Wider gaps feel gentle; close lines suggest steeper ground. There are no real elevations or geographic coordinates.
02 / The way through
Take the scenic route.
The winding trail echoes the mountain path in my logo. Reseed the landscape, change the number of contours, or hide the trail. Download saves exactly the map, without the controls. Everything stays in your browser.
With reduced motion enabled, the whole trail appears immediately. All controls work by keyboard; use the arrow keys to adjust density. The map follows the site’s light or dark theme.
